Foamposites (Copper)


 

 


Originally released in 1997 as the 3rd shoe in the Penny Hardaway line, the Foamposite made a huge splash with its revolutionary injection-molded foam upper. This material quickly became a staple in the sneaker game, finding its way onto other Penny models (Air Penny 3, 1/2 cent) as well as other "posite" models like the Flightposite. Colors also played a key role on the fresh canvas that this new material provided including the rise of eggplant, dark army and others. This new "copper" color really takes it to a new level with a literal interpretation of "Penny." Metallics have always been popular but usually with silver, and this move to copper is a new one. If it’s a hit you can be sure it will resurface…
